Building the Governance of Sustainable Development. European Solidarities with the new Member States
an International Symposium

Organised by the Association “Vraiment Durable”

The Symposium will focus on the solidarities between the fifteen countries of former Europe and the new members of the European Union.

Thus, the various actors being strongly involved, while diagnosing the local strategies through precise examples, the Symposium will initiate the constitution of a European dialogue on the governance in environment and in sustainable development, issuing concrete propositions of cooperation and of better European management in every field.

Natura 2000 Pannonian Biogeographic Seminar
The Pannonian Biogeographic region's Natura 2000 sites will be designated on the Natura 2000 Pannonian Seminar, 26-27 September, 2005 in Hungary. In the seminar, Sites of Community Interest will be officially designated through the evaluation of proposed Sites of Community Interest (National Lists) of the concerned member states (Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia). Decisions will be made about sufficiency of national proposals, based on three requirements: quantity of sites, quality of sites and the coherence of network.
