CEEweb Academy Results are available!

Academy 2015 logo1CEEweb Academy 2015 took place on 6-8th October 2015 in Budapest, Hungary and gathered together 80 participants from 17 countries.

Twenty four presentations gave the audience an introduction into Blue-Green Infrastructure and Natura 2000, its policy and funding aspects, ecosystem services, habitat restoration as well as some practical examples of wetland restoration from CEEweb members.

Event reports as well as all presentations are available on the event’s website.

The Academy was accompanied with a Green Infrastructure Workshop on Stakeholder Involvement conducted by Trinomics, the Regional Environmental Centre, Alterra and the Corvinus University in Budapest as well as a Natura 2000 Management Seminar focusing on integrating the Water Framework Directive with the Natura Directives organised by CEEweb for Biodiversity together with ECNC.

A Fieldtrip to Velence Lake (Hungary) concluded the two-day event.

The events’ main messages were that on one hand, it is possible to reach the 15% restoration target of the EU and many have been happening on this so far, on the other hand, we need to reach out and include other sectors.

The events were generously supported by the Michael Otto Foundation and the European Commission.
