Green-Go Shorts at local school
Three Green-Go short films telling stories about the importance of conservation of biodiversity (Still Inside, Once Upon a Time and Too Cool to Be Killed”) were screened at Tüskevár School, during „The World of Animals” week. The focus of this school is building up a community and highlighting the value of individual development for socially disadvantaged children.
Prior to the screening, we talked about the biodiversity, ecosystems and animal protection through the case of European bison. We discussed how the import and export of endangered species and their body parts could lead to biodiversity loss, and what can CITES do against it.
The project week uses informal education methods to emphasize the synergies of different subjects, involving art and science, visiting the Budapest Zoo or taking part in an Assistance Dog training, and providing environmental education.
