The most basic requirements of a successful nature friendly
enterprise (so-called pro-biodiversity business) are enthusiasm,
knowledge of different natural processes, relearning old farming
methods and their implementation. It is important that the
enterprise functions in a natural environment. Farmers should
pay attention to producing a diverse range of products that
are of good quality.
The increasing community demand for organic products could
also be a stimulating factor. This demand could further grow
with various attitude-shaping workshops and trainings, and
with the expected increase in grant opportunities and the
support of non-rental factors. These agends could also support
the operation of Small- and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs).
An SME, which operates on biodiversity-friendly activity,
however, has to face a variety of difficulties. Different
interests of other stakeholders (such as chemist industry)
have a great pressure. Moreover, the media, unfortunately,
doesn't popularize nature-friendly products and the general
public considers sustainable farming too troublesome and unattractive.
Furthermore, the lack of professionalism draws increasing
problems.
Unfortunately, the inappropriate legal support further hardens
the spread of biodiversity-friendly enterprises. Our lavishing
customs, the lack of conscious production and consumption
or local markets shortage also affect as retardant factors.
In most cases, nature friendly farmers struggle with financial
problems due to the long commercial chain, where the profit
doesn't go to the maintainer's of the husbandry.
