IENE workshop, organized by the Department of Environmental and Natura Protection of the Hungarian Biological Society, MTA Centre for Ecological Research, , F6 Association for Sustainability  and  Association and Action Group for Toads, will focus on the relationship between the environmental and the linear infrastructure as roads, canals and railways, particularly considering environmental protection.

The workshop’s aims are to create a forum for national and international researchers, ecologists, engineers and environmentalists, thus finding an opportunity for communication and reviewing successful and less successful solutions for the target problem.  The workshop is open for Hungarian and international experts, however kindly note that the first part of the workshop will be held in Hungarian. The main findings of the workshop will be presented during the Carpathian Convention WG meeting on the 2nd day, in order to support the Carpathian Countries discussion on the development of a Transport Strategic Action Plan for the Carpathians.
