Mateusz Piesiak – Air Fight (Eurasian siskin – Carduelis spinus)

The explanation of Salamandra’s choice: Even observation of common species can give a lot of joy and opportunities for good photo shots. This picture is not perfectly sharp, however this imperfection enhance the impression of dynamism. The picture proves that marital quarrel is not a peculiarity of human race. Mateusz gets wildlife books as a prize.

Nimfea – Wise and sustainable land use: Gábor Csordás – Attention

Gábor Csordás – Attention

The explanation of Nimfea: The photo shows a species (Spermophilus) that got protected hardly 32 years ago, but for today is already highly protected. It got extinct in many neighbouring countries, and also in Hungary you can find very few because of unsustainable land uses and highly rainy periods. Gábor can spend one day in Nimfea’s education centre, which includes photo hut, watch tower, petting zoo and adventure park.

Green Arts – Best landscape photo in the Carpathians: Sebastian Puraci – Mountain trails on Tarcu Mountains
