Objectives and results of the project:

Building cycle paths was a specific objective in mainstream programs in Hungary, but unfortunately not in Slovakia. EuroVelo 6, from the Atlantic to the Black Sea, is one of the most popular routes and it’s understandable why: coasts, rivers, castles and a flat topography make it every cycle tourist's dream journey. On the planned route of EuroVelo 6 there are many tourist attractions on both sides of the border including the Fortress in Komárno-Komárom, the wellness spa in Patince, the ruins of a Roman camp in Iža, the belvedere in Kravany nad Dunajom, the folk house in Moča, the Roman camp of Azaum in Almásfüzitő, the wine region of Neszmély, the ferry port in Lábatlan, the Kamalduly monastery in Majk and the miner museum in Oroszlány. The aim of the project was to build the missing part of the EuroVelo 6 cycle path between the Municipality of Moča and Municipality of Iža and to prepare the documentations for other missing parts
