Main objective was to create a tourist route which follows magnificent geological objects from the Carpathian Mountains of Poland and Ukraine borderland.
The project allowed to create an innovative tourist product based on the principles of sustainable tourism and preservation of the natural heritage of the region. Despite of the political and administrative barriers it allowed to share ecological clean area which are not altered by man. The project created new conditions of initiative’s development in undeveloped regions based on resources available locally. The project also allowed integration of local communities on both sides of the border. It satisfies the need for the integration of academic communities in Poland and Ukraine. Moreover, it contributed to the development of scientific disciplines such as geology and tourism. It gave an opportunity to the people engaged in tourism leadership to develop their skills and improve knowledge. The project also provided opportunities to the existing and newly established companies managing the tourism to promote themselves for free.
