Objectives and results of the project:

Two museums will be established with multimedial expositions on the PL SK border area, in two buildings dedicated to peatbogs. Museums will be placed in two objects of cultural heritage, reconstrucated and modernized within the project – in wooden historical building in Chochołów, which traditional buildings are registered as UNESCO heritage, and on a court of Orava castle. Reconstucted historical bulidings will serve as a propagation of cultural heritage. With aim of cognition of peatbogs will be made two sections of biking educational trails, which enable visitations of peatbogs. On the trails will be placed two recreational areas with neccessary backround and information board about peatbogs (on one of these places will be reconstructed wagon of narrow cage railway). Thanks to that, target groups will be informed about exploitation of peatbogs. Investments will be supported by propagative and informative activities (internet pages, publication, films, competetion, workshops), which enable informaton dissemination. All of these activities was planned to make a complex PL-SK turism product related to peatbogs that is going to increase attractivness of the boarder area. It enables visitors of informing about this PL-SK natural phenomen unique in Europe
