Objectives and results of the project:

The aim of the project is to identify populations of key bird species in the area of the Polish Carpathian Mountains and to create a long-term framework of monitoring and protection of these populations. One of the major objectives of the project in reference to particular Carpathian communes was to work out economical and environmental development directions. The documents included guidance for tourism, local products, energy production and pasture activities development and was prepared for twelve communes in the Polish Carpathians. Another important objective of the project is preparation of a guide to the Polish Carpathians which includes principles of sustainable tourism development in Polish Carpathians with good, local examples of tourism activities.
