UN flagThe System of Environmental-Economic Accounting (SEEA) is a satellite system of the United Nations System of National Accounts (SNA). Its goal is to compare economic and environmental statistics thus relating, reconnecting and incorporating the environment into the economy.

SEEA is a framework with internationally agreed concepts, definitions, classifications and accounting rules. The System incorporates the following sectors: Energy, Water, Land and Ecosystems Accounting.

SEEA is governed by the United Nations and collaborates with the United Nations Statistical Commission.
