The meeting is a part of the project, which aims at elaboration of an agreed and adoptable strategy for sustainable tourism development in Carpathians, accoding to the Carpathian Convention. |

STWG Meeing at CEEweb Annual Meeting
27 October 2011, Pilisszentkereszt – Dobogókő, Hungary The meeting of the Sustainable Tourism Working Group was held during the Annual Meeting of CEEweb for Biodiversity on 27th of October, 2011 in Dobogókő, near Budapest. The participants discussed the future development of National Tourism Strategy Assessment as well as proposals for funding and activities for STWG in 2012. The group has also prepared the Statement on “Mountains and Tourism” for Rio + 20 Summit. |

STWG Meeting in 2010
16-18 September 2010, Kroscienko, Poland The STWG Meeting this year was held in Kroscienko in Pieniny Mountains, the cross-border nature protected area with Slovakia (Pieniny National Park). We enjoyed the effective group working and planning activities for the future. During the meeting participants compiled the list of recommendation to the Indicators developed by Tourism Sustainability Group of the European Commission’s DG Enterprise. Representative of the STWG continues the work within the Carpathian Convention, especially in its Sustainable Tourism Working Group. Through the contribution of this group a Tourism Protocol was already adopted and a Strategy is under adoption. STWG would like to warmly welcome all the member organizations to cooperation in its actions next year. The meeting was realised with the financial support of the European Commission. |

STWG meeting at CEEweb Annual Meeting
16 October 2008, Szentendre, Hungary CEEweb Sustainable Tourism Working Group (STWG) meeting was held back-to-back with CEEweb Annual Meeting. Among other things, the participants of the meeting developed a workplan for 2009 and elected Ivan Svetozarevic of Young Researchers of Serbia as the chair of the Working Group. The meeting was realised with the financial support of the European Commission. |

Tourism Policies in EU and beyond
9-13 October 2008, Bojentsi, Bulgaria CEEweb Sustainable Tourism Working Group (STWG) meeting was held back-to-back with a workshop “Tourism Policies in EU and Beyond”. The workshop included a training on writing policy papers. The events took place on October 10-13, 2008 in Bojentsi/Gabrovo, Bulgaria. The topic of the workshop was chosen by the participants of the STWG meeting that took place in December 2007 in Romania.
