CEEWEB as NGO Focal Point of GEF for Central
and Eastern Europe
The Global Environment Facility has a network of non-governmental
organizations (GEF-NGO Network) that serves to ensure the
integration of NGOs´ interests in GEF operation and
the implementation of GEF programmes and projects in an accountable,
transparent and participatory way.
GEF-NGO Network functions through Focal Points. Each of GEF
regions elects a representative NGO which nominates an individual
to be a Focal Point, called a Regional Focal Point (RFP).
All business to and from the Network, must be conducted with
the respective RFPs.
CEEweb for Biodiversity was the Regional Focal Point for

The Guidelines for the Coordination Committee of the GEF-NGO
