CEEWEB as NGO Focal Point of GEF for Central and Eastern Europe

The Global Environment Facility has a network of non-governmental organizations (GEF-NGO Network) that serves to ensure the integration of NGOs´ interests in GEF operation and the implementation of GEF programmes and projects in an accountable, transparent and participatory way.

GEF-NGO Network functions through Focal Points. Each of GEF regions elects a representative NGO which nominates an individual to be a Focal Point, called a Regional Focal Point (RFP). All business to and from the Network, must be conducted with the respective RFPs.

The Regional Focal Points are the formal representatives of the GEF-NGO Network and coordinators of GEF-related NGO activities in the regions. Read about specific tasks of the Regional Focal Points >>
