Development of Methodology and Tourism Management Plan

The Working Group "Sustainable tourism" of CEEweb has published a Tender and Call for Proposals in 2003 July, with the aim to launch a project for developing a tourism management plan in a protected area in Central and Eastern Europe in cooperation with a CEEweb member organization.

The proposals submitted for the CEEweb Tender and call for proposals for CEE protected areas were evaluated by the Board of CEEweb, and the proposal of CenORT, Serbia was selected in the first place, and later on additional funding resources will be seeked for the proposal of SOSNA, Slovakia.

ETE has applied for funding for the CenORT project at United Nations Environment Programme Regional Office for Europe, within the framework of Biodiversity Service. After approval of the proposal, the project started in June with a workshop in Sremska Mitrovica, Serbia and Montenegro. The report of the first workshop is downloadable (PDF, 293 KB) and you can also see some pictures of the workshop here.
