The activities of the Working Group are defined by the Work
programme.
The concrete tasks for 2006 and people responsible for their
implementation are specified in a separate
document (DOC).
In 2005 the Working Group was implementing two projects:
Development of methodology and
tourism management plan and Sustainable Tourism and Biodiversity
Conservation. In November 2005 a CEEweb Academy on Sustainable
Tourism was held.
The training took place in Banja Vrujci, Serbia on 13 November
2005. More than 30 people attended the one-day training. The
Evaluation of the CEEweb Academy’s Training on Tourism
(DOC) show that the participants gained significant amount
of knowledge on the topics covered by the trainer, the Chair
of the Working Group, Michael Meyer or ETE.

The aim of the project is the development of a methodology
and draft tourism management plan for Zasavica Special Nature
Reserve, to serve as a model for all protected areas. Based
on the experiences of the plan development process, recommendations
will be formulated to national nature conservation authorities
on how to make full use of the methodology for other protected
areas in Serbia and Montenegro.
The project was initiated by the association Ecological Tourism
in Europe (ETE) in cooperation with Centre for Responsible
and Sustainable Tourism Development (CenORT), CEEweb and ETeam
and is supported by the UNEP/ROE
Biodiversity Service. Read more

The overall aim of the project is the development and organization
of an educational scheme on "Sustainable Tourism and
Biodiversity Conservation" through the Transfer of Technology
and twinning between the CEEweb Sustainable Tourism Working
Group and the association Ecological Tourism in Europe. The
project is supported by the European Union, within the PHARE
Multi-Country Programme "Environment and Enlargement".

The Carpathian Convention Working Group works on the the
promotion of sustainable tourism, as well as the conservation
of the Carpathian mountains. The Working Group was established
by the Decision COP1/10 of the First Meeting of the Conference
of the Parties (COP1) to the Carpathian Convention held in
Kyiv (11-13 December 2006). Read
