Resilience
'Resilience’ is one of CEEweb's guiding conceptual frameworks. Within it, we aim to advocate for the better integration of ‘resilience thinking’ into national and EU policy-development processes through various awareness-raising campaigns, strong positions and targeted workshops. Resilient social-ecological and agroecological systems are essential to sustainable development as they form the foundation of a stable, well-functioning society while saving the environment from additional pressures and threats. The factors, policies and practices that support resilient agroecosystems form a central element of CEEweb’s work on the topic. A great emphasis is placed on advocating for sustainable agricultural practices and the required policies enabling this. Resilience, integrated into the management of farmlands, can potentially contribute to achieving food security and protecting farmland biodiversity.
