Narative

The school in the village of Hrušov is insulated and heated with straw. The insulation has reduced the energy demand for heating by 60%, and by switching to straw heating, the municipality will save up to 50% of the heating costs.

Total funding: 406 241,84 € (85 % ERDF, 10% state buget)


Recommendations

Support the development of similar economically and environmentally sustainable biomass projects in municipalities with local community involvement, by allocating more European Structural and Investment Funds or other european financial mechanisms
