Narative

Revitalisation of 2.2 km of the Rudava River, through meander restoration and bank beautification. The restoration of the lower section of the Rudava River was carried out by the Bratislava Regional Conservation Association BROZ in cooperation with the Research Institute of Water Management, the Slovak Technical University in Bratislava and the State Nature Conservation Service of the Slovak Republic - Administration of the Záhorie Protected Landscape Area. The restoration is implemented within the framework of the Interreg SK-AT - Alpine-Carpathian River Corridor project.

Total funding: 2 054 116,09 EUR EFRR (85%) 1 745 998,68 own sources (15%) (A)/Mininistry of Agriculture (SK): 308 117,41 EUR


Recommendations

Encourage the development of similar revitalisation projects by simplifying permitting legislation. Continue to amend legislation and speed up processes for the authorisation of such projects. Support similar projects in Slovakia in the future.
