An idealist at her core, Anna is interested in understanding and tackling contemporary issues, especially human/nature conflicts. After a year of voluntary civil service teaching at an integrative school in Ecuador, and having worked on environmental education in Uganda, she decided to dedicate her time to understanding some of the challenges facing us in the Anthropocene. Thus, she became involved in sustainability consulting and research, focussing especially on food systems and community-led approaches to biocultural conservation.
Anna is currently pursuing a BA in Human Sciences (University of Oxford, United Kingdom). She speaks Hungarian, German, Spanish, French, and English, and has basic knowledge of Mandarin Chinese.
Anna has joined CEEweb as an intern for the summer of 2021, working with the policy team on research on the Water Framework Directive and protected area management.
In her spare time, you can often find her enthusiastically climbing walls, throwing frisbees, exploring nature, and painting. Anna is also interested in Latin American music and dance and has picked up the classic lockdown hobby: baking bread.
