Flora Rausch
Flora is joining CEEweb this autumn as an intern for HUMANITA. The project aims to develop participatory management tools to better monitor and evaluate the impacts of tourism in protected areas and with that to decrease the pressures on ecosystems resulting from human-nature conflicts.
She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Human Ecology, further holding a BSc in Environment and Bioresources Management from the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Vienna. Moving between and striving to bridge the gaps between multiple disciplines, Flora is interested in the narratives shaping human relationships with nature. Her focus thereby lies on the power dynamics and structures that influence which entities and perspectives are (de)valued in environmental and sustainability discourses.
In her free time, Flora enjoys reading, hiking, sitting in the sun while writing, and swimming.
