
Aleksandra Khirv
Aleksandra is a project manager with experience working in the non-governmental sector on the topics of EU funding, air pollution, and sustainable transport. Within her professional path, she has worked in communications and advocacy, as well as on conducting fundraising activities. She also has over eight years of continuous volunteering experience and community support activities. Her professional interests include sustainable development, water and wastewater management, and ocean protection.
She holds an MSc in Environmental Sciences (ELTE, Hungary) and a BSc in Energy and Resource Saving Processes in Chemical Technologies, Oil Industry and Biochemistry (Saint Petersburg University of Industrial Technologies and Design, Russia). She speaks Russian, English, Ukrainian, and Hungarian.
Aleksandra joined CEEweb for Biodiversity in 2021 and is the Lead Project Coordinator of the Towards a climate-neutral EU: Efficient allocation of EU funds project.
In her spare time, she is running an environmental education initiative on YouTube called GreenAdvisor, where she interviews environmental experts from different fields to explain scientific topics in an easy, pedagogical manner. Her hobbies are dancing, hiking, and photography. She is a good cook, but an even better taster.
