Technical instructions

We need two short clips from you, we trust it won’t take too long to record.

The concept: The first video we want to create will show the audience questions that are seemingly impossible to answer. After the question, we will show clips of you & other people while you are answering them. The answers will be by show of hands only, no speech. We will include some animation to show which answer you are pointing to.

Technical solution: The easiest way is to record yourself with the laptop’s camera, and watch the video on the laptop’s screen. Alternatively you can use your laptop to show the
video you react to and use your phone to record yourself. As you need two hands, you’ll need to put your phone on or next to your laptop. You can also be creative with using a TV screen + laptop camera/phone camera combination.

What we need from you: a ~2 minutes horizontal/landscape video where you answer the questions in the challenge slideshow by raising your left or right hand - no speaking is necessary during the answers. Please only open the video once, when you are ready to answer the questions & do not research the answers beforehand. The more honest your reactions are, the better it will be. The audience will be able to relate much better if they see the thinking, doubt or confidence on your face.

You can indicate which question you are answering - before raising your hand, you can read the question out loud or say one keyword that helps us identify it. We will not include this
part in the final edit, it’s just a guide for our editor to know where to include your answer. The final cuts from you will be totally silent ones where you are raising your hand. We will include music, but no speaking will be heard.

Please note that you do not need to edit this video at all, our videographer will take care of it.
