A tőzeglápok, mint a klímaváltozás mérséklésének kulcsszereplői / Peatlands as key habitats in climate mitigation efforts

Az érintetti műhelytalálkozó célja vélemény- és tudáscsere a tőzeglápok és a talajok klímaváltozás mérséklésében betöltött szerepéről, a bennük rejlő, tudományosan megalapozott kibocsátáscsökkentési lehetőségekről.

A műhelytalálkozót terepi program kíséri a Hanságban, az ottani már megvalósult és tervezett vízvisszatartást és hatásait bemutatva. 

A műhelymunka magyar és angol nyelven, mindkét nyelvre történő szinkrontolmácsolással kerül megrendezésre.

A műhelymunka első napját hibrid formában tartjuk (személyes és online részvételi lehetőséggel).

The multi-stakeholder workshop aims to, on the one hand, exchange views and knowledge on the currently known role of peatlands and soils in climate mitigation efforts (identifying possible issues and responses) on a national level, and, on the other hand, educate participants on the potential that lies in peatlands and soils for science-based emission reduction pathways.

The workshop will be accompanied by a field programme to the Hanság, located in North-West Hungary, to showcase water retention measures. 

The event will be held in Hungarian and English, with simultaneous interpretation in both languages.

The first day of the event will be held in a hybrid form (both in-person and online participation).
