Conservation of Peatlands: Policies, funds and field experiences

Capacity-building workshop in the frame of the Building the European Peatlands Initiative: a strong alliance for peatland climate protection in Europe project, organised by CEEweb for Biodiversity.

The online day of the workshop will be held on 27 May and will cover four thematic issues:

• Section 1: Results of the project and policy outcome
• Section 2: Results and challenges of the implementation of peatland strategies/action plans
• Section 3: Support mechanisms and agricultural adaptation
• Section 4: On-site experiences (Living labs, monitoring)

The programme will be accompanied by an in-person field visit on 28 May to the Ócsa Landscape Protection Area, located 30 km south of Budapest. The field visit will showcase peatland protection and management activities.

The working language of the workshop is English.
