The report was requested to be carried out for enabling to complete the Deliverable 1.2.1 “Report on environmental impacts of tourism at pilot sites” within the HUMANITA project. CEEweb for Biodiversity and Bükk National Park Directorate (BNPD) are partners in the project and the latter contains pilot sites concerned.

The report starts with a general description of the National Park’s protected areas and then within that the pilot sites. These areas are described in regards to both natural/conservation values as well as tourism attractions, behaviour and their impacts on the environment. The monitoring obligations and conservation objectives are well elaborated in the report and the current monitoring activities of tourism impacts are also described with further details of both subjects in the Annex chapter.

The report also mentions the future monitoring activities in BNPD’s pilot sites within the project.
