Guidance for the preparation of national restoration plans using the example of bogs, mires and fens

The national restoration plans include measures aimed at achieving the nature restoration targets outlined in the European Union's biodiversity strategy for 2030. Preparing and implementing these plans presents both a great opportunity and a significant challenge for Member States.

This study aims to examine, using the example of bogs, mires, and fens (wetland habitats), what considerations, approaches, and possible measures exist within the framework of legal regulations and the data requirements expected in the national restoration plan template. By doing so, it supports the development of these plans. While the study is based on Hungarian conditions, the issues raised and potential solutions can be applied and adapted to a broader geographical region.

A nemzeti restaurációs tervek az Európai Unió 2030-ig szóló biodiverzitás stratégiájában megfogalmazott természethelyreállítási célok elérését szolgáló intézkedéseket tartalmazzák. A tervek összeállítása és megvalósítása nagy lehetőség és egyben nagy kihívás is a tagországok számára.

A jelen tanulmány célja, hogy a lápi élőhelyek példáján megvizsgálja, hogy a jogszabályi előírások és a nemzeti restaurációs terv sablonjában elvárt adattartalom mentén milyen megfontolások, megközelítések, és lehetséges beavatkozási lehetőségek vannak, ezzel támogatva a tervek kidolgozását. A tanulmány a magyar viszonyokra alapoz, ugyanakkor a felvetett kérdések, lehetséges megoldások tágabb földrajzi térségben is alkalmazhatók, adaptálhatók.
