Organisation: Združenie Slatinka Website: Added: September 20, 2022
Project start date: October 01, 2017
Project end date: September 01, 2019

Narrative

Project Objective: To increase the attractiveness of bicycle transport in the city and to increase safe bicycle parking capacities at the Trnava bus and railway station through the construction of a bicycle parking house. Project description: The project will increase the parking capacity at the railway and bus station, thus contributing to an increase in the number of inhabitants who will use more environmentally friendly means of transport for commuting to work. The measurable indicator of the project will be the number of additional cycling infrastructure elements created. This integrated project is linked to other projects that the City of Trnava is preparing (cycle routes, bikesharing). The automatic bicycle parking project will be part of a comprehensive, safe, fast and direct network of segregated urban cycle routes.

Financial data

Total project budget EUR 531 914,85 Non-reimbursable financial contribution: EUR 505 319,11 (95 % of eligible expenditure) Co-financing: EUR 26 595,74 (min. 5 % of eligible expenditure for the project and non-eligible expenditure)

Recommendations

The development of similar infrastructure helps the development of bicycle transport as well as the construction of cycle paths. This is an example of a holistic approach to planning the development of non-motorized transport, and it is therefore necessary to implement such projects to a greater extent.
