The goal of the project is to develop an innovative platform for the collection, distribution and management of traffic data, which could serve as a basis for the development of new products that would support more environmentally friendly and efficient city management. In order to ensure the achievement of the set goals, the following activities are planned to be implemented within the project:

Industrial research:

(1) Development of sensor data model and extraction methods;

(2) Applying machine learning to data analysis and decision-making;

(3) Bulk (video) data mining solutions.

Experimental development:

(4) Platform prototype development.

In Latvia, data on transport flow and traffic patterns are limited and often incomplete or unavailable. Taking into account the transport trends of the last years in Latvia, it is important to understand the traffic flows and the vehicles used, both for the development of national and municipal roads, for ensuring safe traffic, and also for the development of transport-oriented industries, for example, the development of the charging network for electric vehicles. It is recommended to have this publicly available and easily reviewed to promote urban development.
